Del Mar Personal Stylist Jaquelyn Wahidi poses in a blue dress against a brick wall

I’m Jaquelyn Wahidi, a fashion writer and personal stylist in San Diego, California. Since 2016, I’ve been helping women elevate their style. I do it all, from closet organizing to personal shopping to trip packing. To me, there is nothing more satisfying than an organized closet and a confident client.

Expertise: As a seasoned stylist, I am dedicated to helping women look and feel their very best. I know what works and what doesn’t for every stage in our lives. That’s why I’m one of San Diego’s top personal stylists.

As a leading style expert, I’ve been featured in national publications such as InStyle, Bustle, and Fine Magazine. To keep up with my recent media attention, check out my press page.

Background: I was born in Indiana. As a child, my family moved to Northern California. In my teenage years, I worked as a sales associate and visual merchandiser for a local, high-end boutique. I quickly became an expert in designer brands, fabrics, and steaming garments.

In 2006, I moved to San Diego. I began studying English Literature at San Diego State University. During my college years, I continued working as a sales associate, buyer, and merchandiser for a handful of local shops.

In 2009, I became an administrative assistant, and later a marketing director. These roles were for a fashion company based in La Jolla.

After college, I began a career in corporate management. This provided me with great networking and travel opportunities. I learned more than ever about professionalism, business, and marketing.

While my corporate role was a fantastic learning experience, I was craving a return to the fashion world. Truthfully, I also wanted to use my unique skills to support and empower women.  After successfully helping friends makeover their wardrobes, it was time to start my styling business.

I trained with one of the most sought-after stylists in NYC and learned an excessive amount about body types, cuts, and materials. To this day, I read books and take courses related to fashion and business. I truly believe we never stop learning.

Since leaving the corporate world, I have dressed more women than I can count.

In total, I have over a decade of fashion industry experience. I’ve done everything: styling commercial photo shoots, buying for boutiques, and retail sales. My personal favorite remains working with individual clients. I love helping successful women take the stress out of getting dressed.
